From our research we have found, that, for a lot of children the inability to perform certain tasks or skills can cause embarrassment and self esteem issues. We have surveyed various different age groups, ranging from 8-9 to 13+, to find out what skills most children know how to do and what skills children want to learn. From our surveys we have learned that most children from the ages of 8-9 know how do basic chores like making their bed or folding their clothes. however, they are less comfortable doing things like using a microwave or tying a tie. Most children from the ages of 10-12 knew how to bake and knew some sports skills. however they were less comfortable with their cooking skills. the main skills that they wanted to learn how to do was to be able to do their hair by themselves and to learn textile skills such as knitting or crochet. in the 13+ category most people knew how to use public transport by themselves. however they a lot of people were did not know how to create an effective schedule for studying. most people wanted to learn how to properly manage their money.
